Fast Accurate Scanning to Capture Fine Detail in Reverse Engineering Projects

When our starting point is an existing product or item, reverse engineering gives us an efficient way to refine and re-design. With our in-house 3D HD laser scanning facilities we can quickly capture fine detail, producing highly accurate digital data to push the product design and engineering program forward.

Prototypes

As designs progress from the original 3D CAD model through prototyping, HD laser scanning enables accurate capture of these modifications, design data can then be updated with confidence knowing that it conforms to a working solution.

We use the JP-L Hexagon Laser Scanner. This scanner uses a rapid point cloud capture solution for advanced laser scans to deliver an accurate 3D point cloud at high speed which gives excellent measurement results on even the most challenging surfaces. We can utilize this data for a huge range of metrology applications including inspection to CAD, free form surface inspection to CAD and reverse engineering.
